At Shongololo Language School, we want our website to be accessible and easy to use for all visitors, including people with disabilities.
What web accessibility means
An accessible website allows visitors with disabilities to browse and use the site with the same or similar ease as other visitors. This depends on the design of the site and on compatibility with assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation.
What we have done
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. On this website we have:
- set the language of each page, including our articles in Slovak;
- used a clear heading structure on every page;
- added text descriptions to meaningful images;
- used colour combinations that meet the WCAG contrast requirements;
- made every link, button and form field usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator;
- labelled all form fields and shown clear error messages;
- added a “Skip to content” link;
- kept motion to a minimum and respected the “reduce motion” setting on your device;
- made the layout work on phones, tablets and computers, and when text is enlarged.
Third-party content
Our booking page (Google Calendar) and payment page (Stripe) are provided by other companies. Their accessibility depends on those providers.
